Storytellers - Epic Poems
Don't be scared off by the title; though most epics were in the form of poetry, that doesn't mean it needs to rhyme! This workshop focuses on creating an engaging and adventurous story for your hero worthy of the term: Epic. Join us for this 3 part workshop and expand your creative writing realm in a pressure-free environment. For ages 13 and older.

Song Lyric Workshop with Gerry LaFemina
For High School Students:
The relationship between melody and language, between rhythm and "story," between lyrics and lyricism will be explored, as will focus on hooks, familiarity and surprise, and phrasing. Students are encouraged to bring instruments!

If you are familiar with this popular TV show you know how exciting it is as people race all over the world to win a million dollars!. In this special Library edition teams will race around the world (figuratively) completing challenges to win tiny prizes (no million dollars...sorry!). INTRODUCTION TO ARDUINO
Arduino? What's an Arduino? Come out and learn about these little electronics boards that can be programmed to blink lights, run motors and read sensors. You can use them to make projects like robots, cosplay lighting effects, and other 'smart' projects. This class will get you started with the basics. No experience needed just a desire to learn something new. You will need to bring your own laptop to install the Arduino programming software.

THE ARDUINO HOBBYIST GROUP
Come join us as we learn how to make Arduino projects work. See how to use lights, motors, sensors and other peripherals with your Arduino and make awesome projects! We will also take time to discuss projects that group members are making and help make them successful. Participation in this group assumes a basic knowledge of how Arduinos work, either from prior knowledge or through our Introduction to Arduino class. Please bring a laptop with the Arduino software installed.

Seed Bombs - Guerrilla Gardening
Come to the branch and learn all about Guerrilla Gardening and how to make Seed Bombs (Green Grenades). A fun way to garden without a lot of work or having to own the land. Help to enhance local spaces that are abandoned or not cared for with colorful wildflowers. Let's beautify our area one flower at a time! Fun for the whole family. Pre-registration is required.
