Build A PC - Own A PC!
Have you ever wanted to see inside a computer? Have you ever wanted to take a computer entirely apart and put it back together? Have you ever wanted to customize a computer? At the Wicomico Public Libraries' Computer Club, students will be doing all of it!
The 15-week computer club is an intense 3-hour per week session where students will be guided through the entire process of building their own computers from scratch. They will start by learning all of the different parts of a modern computer, from the hard drive to the motherboard and graphics card. Then, they will be guided through that process of actually constructing their own computer. When the program has concluded, the computers they have built will be theirs to take home... if the students "make" it work!
Computer Club is a free 15 session program that runs from March 3rd to June 23rd and is about 3 hours per week. Meetings will be held on Fridays from 6pm - 9pm at the Wicomico Public Libraries, Centre Branch. The age group is for students 7th - 11th grade.
There will be a program orientation for families on Wednesday, March 1st @ 6pm at the Centre Branch.
Space is limited! Application deadline is Feb. 24th. Submit an application.
