Otaku Club @ The Centre Branch

Each month the Wicomico Public Library Centre Branch hosts an anime/manga club for teens. The current required age limit is 13-17. Permission slips are required.
Fridays at 6:30pm: March 11th, April 1st & May 6th.

 

Teen Critics Society @ The Centre Branch

A brand new club for teens in 7th-12th grade. This group will review different types of movies, television, music and more. Members will learn how to analyze themes, genre, and how to write critiques. Joining this group also counts for volunteer hours and extra time will be rewarded for those who write for the Teen Lounge web page content page.
Fridays at 6:30pm: March 23rd, April 27 & May 25th.

 


Robotics Club @ The Centre Branch

Join this brand new club for middle & high school students! Build teamwork along with LEGO Mindstorms and discover the STEM basics of robotics engineering.
Wednesdays at 6pm: 3/13, 3/27, 4/10, 4/24, 5/8 & 5/22.

 

TAC (Teen Advisory Council)

The Wicomico Public Library TAC (Teen Advisory Council) is a group of teens that means once a month to discuss how to improve the library’s service to area teens. TAC members make decisions about collection, programs, and other teen-related stuff. Want to help choose the books, movies and music we buy for the Teen Lounge? Have ideas about the events we schedule for teens?

Anyone can join TAC! We provide the pizza and the service hours, you provide the great ideas! Permission slips are required.

Third Tuesday of the month at 6 pm.

 

Teen Otaku Club @ The Lounge
Members meet to talk about manga and watch a member selected anime movie/show. Open to ages 12 - 18 only.
Second Tuesday of the month at 6 pm.

 

Japanese Club @ The Lounge

Come join us for our new Japanese Club open to teens ages 12 - 18. We'll be learning Japanese by using the library's online database, Byki (Before You Know It). We'll also learn about Japan and talk about favorite Manga.
Fourth Tuesday of the Month at 6 pm.
