Each month the Wicomico Public Library Centre Branch hosts an anime club for teens. Every meeting features a member selected anime movie/show and special activity.

Examples of planned activities include:
     Making anime t-shirts (using iron-on transfers)
     Creating our own fan comics
     Learning Japanese
     Anime Music Swap Night

The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 pm. The Centre Branch is located in the Centre at Salisbury across from Chuck E. Cheese's. The current required age limit is 13-17. As of January 1st 2010, Game On has been replaced with open and free gaming for all ages on Saturday afternoons from 4-6pm. We will still be open for Anime club, but all other Thursday night programs have been canceled. For more information, please contact us at 410-546-5397.

 

Teen Anime Club at the Main Library

Watch a member selected anime movie/show and take part in an activity with an anime theme. Ages 12-18 only.

Mondays: March 8, April 12, May 10 at 6:30 pm.

Lounge Reads - New Teen Book Club

   

We are introducing a new Teen Book Club – Lounge Reads. This is a read what you want type of Book Club. All teens are invited to attend and tell us about a book they liked (or didn’t like). Pizza will be provided! Please contact Kelly at kellyw@wicomico.org or 410-749-3612 x119 for more information. The Teen Book club is open to ages 12 – 18. Hope to see you there!

TAC (Teen Advisory Council)

The Wicomico Public Library TAC (Teen Advisory Council) is a group of teens that means once a month to discuss how to improve the library’s service to area teens. TAC members make decisions about collection, programs, and other teen-related stuff. Want to help choose the books, movies and music we buy for the Teen Lounge? Have ideas about the events we schedule for teens?

Mondays: March 15, April 19, May 17 at 6:30 pm.

Anyone can join TAC! We provide the pizza and the service hours, you provide the great ideas! Permission slips are required.

Anime/Manga Club for Teens
Share your love of Anime and Manga with other fans. Meets once a month. RR. Tuesdays: December 15, January 19, and February 16 at 6:30 pm at The Pittsville Branch.
